How do I rewrite an essay with AI?
Paste the full essay into the box above and press Rewrite. The tool restructures paragraph order, topic sentences and the conclusion while keeping your thesis and evidence, and returns the result in a few seconds.
Is the AI essay rewriter free?
Yes. You get 5 free runs every rolling 24 hours with no account and no signup. There is no separate paid tier on this tool.
Is my essay uploaded anywhere permanent?
It is sent to our AI server to be rewritten and returned to you; it is not used to train models. Treat anything you paste the way you would treat any text sent over a network.
Will this make my essay pass an AI detector?
That is not a claim we make. We do not test against detectors or tune the rewrite to beat one, so we have no basis to promise a result on a tool we do not control.
Does it change my thesis or my argument?
It should not. The rewrite reorders paragraphs, rebuilds topic sentences and reworks the conclusion. It is not meant to change what you claim or the evidence behind it. Read the result before submitting.
What is the difference between the essay rewriter and the paragraph rewriter?
The paragraph rewriter reworks one paragraph's internal order and flow. The essay rewriter works on the whole document: where paragraphs sit relative to each other, whether the introduction previews too much, and whether the conclusion does anything beyond restating the opening.
What is the difference between the essay rewriter and the paraphraser?
The paraphraser restates a passage in different words while keeping the claim identical, and still needs a citation if the ideas are not yours. The essay rewriter restructures your own draft's argument and paragraph order, not a source you are quoting.
Can I use this for academic work?
That depends entirely on your school or program's policy on AI-assisted writing tools, which we do not set and cannot speak for. Check with your institution before you submit anything.
Does it work on long essays?
Up to the per-run ceiling above: a longer thesis chapter or dissertation section needs to be split and rewritten piece by piece, and each piece uses one of your 5 runs for the day.
Does it work on essays about any subject?
Yes. It works on structure, not subject-specific content, so it applies the same way to a literature essay, a history essay or a personal statement.
Why did the rewrite leave my conclusion looking similar?
If it already drew a new point rather than restating the introduction, there is less to change. That is expected, not a failure.
Why does my rewritten essay still read a little flat?
Restructuring fixes order and topic sentences, not weak evidence or a thin thesis. Strengthen any paragraph whose argument still feels light yourself.
Does it work with ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini drafts?
Yes. The rewriter works on the text itself, regardless of which model or person drafted it originally.
Does it remove hidden Unicode characters too?
No, restructuring and character cleanup are separate jobs. Run your essay through the text cleaner first if formatting or hidden characters are also a concern.
Is there a batch mode or an API?
Not currently. Each essay runs through individually, within your daily allowance.
What happens when I run out of free runs?
You will see a message telling you when your next run is available. It resets automatically 24 hours after the run that used up the allowance. No signup needed to keep using it.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. The page works in any modern mobile browser.
Will running it twice restructure the essay further?
Not reliably, and a second pass over an already-rewritten essay can start eroding the argument instead of sharpening it. One run followed by your own review is the combination that works.
Does it work on essays in languages other than English?
It is built and tested primarily for English text. Other languages may work but quality is not guaranteed to the same degree.
Can I paste an outline instead of a finished essay?
You can, but the rewriter works best on full sentences it can actually reorder. An outline gives it very little to restructure.
Does it keep my citations and quotes in place?
It should keep quotes attached to the point they support, but check them after a rewrite. Citation formatting is not something the tool verifies.
