The tool
What the Claude cover letter humanizer does
Paste the letter and press Rewrite. It comes back in plainer phrasing: the stock opener gone, the buzzwords thinned out, sentences of varying length instead of five in a row built the same way. The rewrite is instructed to preserve your meaning and your factual claims, so the jobs, dates and numbers you put in should come out the other side.
The rewriting happens on our server, so your letter is sent to us. You get 5 free runs every rolling 24 hours, no account, and up to 12,000 characters per run, which is several times the length of any cover letter that should be sent. The output arrives as bare text with no quotation marks or preamble around it, ready to paste into a form.
The tells
The phrases that make a cover letter read as AI
You can check your own draft against a list faster than any tool can. An advice article at coverlettercopilot.ai names these as the giveaways: "I am writing to express my interest", "Detail-oriented professional", "Proven track record", "Leverage my skills", and "I would be an excellent fit".
JobFast's humanizer names the same shape from the tool side, singling out stiff openings like "I am writing to express my strong interest in the position" and words including "synergy, leverage, dynamic, results driven". If several of these are in your letter, that is the first thing the rewrite will deal with, and you could also just delete them yourself.
How it works
How to humanize a cover letter in three steps
The third step is the one that decides whether the letter is any good.
- Step 1
- Paste the whole letter, not a paragraph. Rhythm is part of what reads as machine-written, and rhythm only shows across a full page.
- Step 2
- Add an instruction of up to 300 characters if you want a register held: warmer, shorter, less formal, no adjectives. Then press Rewrite.
- Step 3
- Read it aloud and check every fact. A rewrite is a draft in your voice only once you have made it yours.
The limit that matters
A cover letter humanizer cannot add specifics
This is the honest centre of the whole category and every tool in it admits the same thing eventually. A rewriter changes how a sentence sounds. It cannot know what you shipped, who you worked with, what went wrong in your second year and what you did about it. Those details are the only part of a cover letter a reader remembers.
Even the most aggressive humanizer we read still tells you to add one or two personal touches afterwards, and the advice article wants two or three short concrete anecdotes in the letter. That is a polite way of saying the tool cannot do the part that matters. Write one specific thing that happened, in your own words, before you run anything.
Check the facts
What the rewrite is supposed to keep, and why to check anyway
The instruction behind this route is to preserve the original meaning and factual claims while changing how the text reads. JobFast describes its own discipline the same way: "Only the tone and rhythm change, never the substance of your application", and it "never invents new facts, numbers, companies, or claims".
Instructing a model is not the same as guaranteeing an outcome, so read the output against your draft before you send it. Check the company name, the job title, the dates, any figure you quoted and the name of the person you addressed it to. It takes thirty seconds and it is the difference between a letter and an embarrassment.
Length
Keeping a humanized cover letter to one page
Rewrites tend to grow. The counter above the box shows characters and words for whatever is in it, so you can compare your original against the result rather than guessing. JobFast makes a point of keeping letters at "roughly the same length", which is the right instinct.
If the rewrite came back longer, cut rather than re-run. The first paragraph and the closing paragraph are almost always where the spare words are, because they are the parts most likely to have been written on autopilot in the first place.
The blunt question
Will this get a cover letter past an AI detector?
We do not promise that, on this route or any other. One competing rewriter advertises that it "passes GPTZero · Turnitin · Originality.ai" with a 97% success rate. We have no relationship with any of those tools, no way to verify such a claim and no intention of making one.
JobFast, which sells a humanizer too, puts the sane version of the argument in one sentence: "An undetectable ai cover letter is really just a well written human one." We would go further. The person reading your letter is a person, and a letter full of specifics reads as human because it is, which is a more reliable outcome than anything a detector does or does not say.
Limits, stated
What this cover letter humanizer will not do
It will not write the letter for you. There is no job description field, no company lookup and no template: this route rewrites text you supply. It will not invent an achievement, and you should not want it to.
It makes no claim about applicant tracking systems, because we cannot see what any of them do. It makes no claim about what recruiters do either. No detector promise, no undetectability, no unlimited runs, no file upload, no account and nothing stored.
